Gulf Ferro Alloys Company (“Sabayek”) is a Saudi National Company operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The factory, located in Jubail Industrial City 1, was inaugurated and commenced production in 1997. SABAYEK is the only national factory specialized in the manufacturing of Ferroalloys in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which rates the Kingdom among the top 15 global producers of silico manganese alloys. These alloys are crucial to the production of steel with the highest international standards of quality and reliability. Our Alloys give steel its required strength, flexibility, quality and durability. SABAYEK manufactures Ferro alloys to the highest standards tailored to our client’s specific requirements. These Alloys are mainly used by SABIC-HADEED as well as most other steel factories in the Kingdom, SABAYEK also exports to the GCC countries, Canada, Mexico, Pakistan, Spain and the USA. Sabayek’s four 27 MVA Furnaces have a maximum production capacity of about 140,000 tons per annum. Sabayek being a reliable and an accountable supplier has made it a member of SABIC’s “Strategic Alliance” program and a member of its “NUSANED” program. Sabayek is strategically important to the Iron and Steel sector in the Kingdom, and it is also a member of the National Steel Committee. It is worth mentioning here that Sabayek is capable to cover the Ferro Alloys requirements of most, if not all, Iron and Steel factories in the Kingdom as well as a portion of the GCC, reducing or eliminating the need to import from abroad. The presence of Sabayek opens the door to diversification of resources of the economy in the Kingdom, in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 Industrial Vision, which urges the development, diversification, and integration of national industries and localized manufacturing of specialized strategic products. The company has completed its R&D on the production of specialized alloys that go into the production of specialized steel for strategic industries such as nuclear reactor sheets, military spare part equipment, oil and gas pipelines, and some aluminum industries. Strategically it is currently working on an integrated production line for the manufacturing of a series of Noble alloys.
